The Ebola epidemic reached five West African countries: Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia.

The World Health Organization, WHO, said that since the Ebola epidemic began in West Africa, 2,800 people have died.

The WHO also said the epidemic has been contained in two of the five affected countries: Senegal and Nigeria.

The head of the emergency operations center in Sierra Leone, Stephen Gaojia, said the three-day curfew that ended on Sunday was a success.

During this time, the authorities managed to record 130 new cases of contagion.
