Lewis Hamilton, the English Formula 1 driver has an impressive collection of cars, super sports cars and hypercars, most spectacular in the world, valued at more than 13 million euros.

Hamilton has said that he hardly uses them due to his multiple commitments, and he has chosen to selectively drive them close to his places of residence in Monaco and Los Angeles. These are some of their cars:

Mercedes-AMG Project One

Hamilton, a Mercedes-Benz driver, because of his interest in propulsion systems and sustainable fuels, participated in the production of the plug-in hybrid machine by testing the prototypes. The Project One reaches a top speed of 354 km/h. Only 275 units will be built, at a cost of around two million euros. Hamilton bought one for himself and one for his father Anthony.

Mercedes-AMG SLS Black

It is powered by a 620 PS 6.2-litre V8 engine, which reaches 100 km/h in just three seconds. He also owns a white AMG GT R, which was broadcast as a pace car in Formula 1 from 2018 to 2020. He also owns an AMG G63 6×6, a powerful six-wheeled off-roader that cost him around half a million pounds; and a Mercedes-Maybach S600, which has a 6-liter V12 engine.

ferrari la ferrari

Although Hamilton has been a Mercedes driver, and Ferrari has been his rival on the tracks, the English driver has owned at least three cars from the renowned Italian brand: a Ferrari LaFerrari, a Ferrari 599 SA Aperta and a LaFerrari Aperta. The LaFerraris use a 6.3-litre hybrid engine, producing over 900bhp, and he is said to have paid around £2.2m to secure the Aperta version, and a further £1.4m for the other. Of the 599 only 80 units were manufactured, on the occasion of the anniversary of Pininfarina.

1966 Shelby Cobra 427

While the bulk of Hamilton’s collection consists of state-of-the-art cars, he has also poured his money into classics. One of them is a 1966 Shelby Cobra, with an estimated value of around £4 million, one of the most expensive the pilot has.

Ford Mustang Shelby GT500

Another classic in his car collection is a close replica of ‘Eleanor’ from the movie ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’: Hamilton spent £1.1m to get his hands on a 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.

mclaren p1

In 2015, three years after stepping away from the McLaren F1 team that brought him to Formula 1, Hamilton got his hands on this car. The McLaren P1 has a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 gasoline engine, combined with an electric motor, produces 903 hp, and reaches a top speed of 217 miles per hour, and does 0-100 km/h in less than 2 .7 seconds. The P1, successor to the iconic F1 car, cost Hamilton around £1.2m.
