Announcer Jim Nantz didn’t mince words when attacking LIV Golf’s recent broadcast difficulties.
Nantz, who was on the call for CBS’s coverage of the PGA Championship on Thursday, took aim at the rival circuit shortly after Dustin Johnson teeed off.
Nantz gave Johnson credit for winning a recent LIV event, but he also didn’t give as much importance to the current problems LIV is facing.

«I’m not sure if you got a chance to see it, but he won last week in Tulsa in a tiebreaker over Cam Smith and Branden Grace,» Nantz said.

Several CW affiliates recently decided to part ways with the LIV Golf playoff event before it started due to the length of the broadcast.
LIV has an agreement with CW to carry the broadcasts of its events in the US.
Viewers who wanted to continue watching the broadcast were forced to turn to the network’s streaming platform to see the conclusion of the event.
Nantz may soon have to add a master roaster to his resume after this latest hit.
Last month, the golf, basketball and football broadcaster drew attention when he described Brooks Koepka’s actions on the 15th hole during the third round.
As Koepka’s second hit came to rest in the area of the street designated for customers, Nantz noted, «There it is, right on the CW.» He paused for effect, then added, «The crosswalk.» Koepka plays at LIV Golf.
