Japan’s Ministry of Health contributed another 19 cases of dengue, bringing the number affected by this mosquito-borne disease to 22.
All the cases are believed to have originated in a popular Tokyo park.
Yoyogi Park has been sprayed with pesticide in an effort to kill off the insect colony.
It is the first dengue outbreak in Japan, almost 70 years after it was eradicated.
Symptoms of the disease include fever, joint pain, and headaches.
