One of the HBO shows that was announced to be coming to Netflix in the United States was the hit Dwayne Johnson vehicle, basketball players. Now, we have learned that several seasons will arrive on August 15, 2023.

If you go back and look at our 2018 article, we said that basketball players I would never come to Netflix. Turns out we were only going to be right for the next five years.
The series is coming to Netflix courtesy of a new licensing agreement that Netflix reached with Warner Bros. Discovery over the summer. That arrangement has gotten pigs flying and HBO shows coming to Netflix, which has never happened before with a couple of documentary exceptions. It comes at a time when HBO’s parent, Warner Bros. Discovery, is trying to boost its cash flow during a time of turmoil within Hollywood.
Insecure it was the first title to come to Netflix as part of this new pact that we learned will be available on Netflix for at least three years before the license needs to be renewed.
Still to come to Netflix from this new HBO arrangement are the two seminal wartime limited series. Brothers band and The Pacific, further Six feet below. Internationally, Netflix will receive all the seasons of the excellent True Blood.
When basketball players release on Netflix?
All five seasons (consisting of 47 episodes) of basketball players It is expected to hit Netflix in the United States on August 15, 2023.
No other regions are currently expected to be recipients of ball players Max (formerly known as HBO Max) will continue to air the show.
A notice is now displayed on the show’s page on Netflix, which launched today with a button that lets you set a reminder when it drops. The page, like Insecure, has HBO Original branding front and center.
